GrainsMap - Grain, Oilseed & Livestock Prices on a World Map

GrainsMap is an interactive world map of markets in four parts: grains and oilseeds, livestock, metals, and oil.

Grain and oilseed ports and hubs

275 grain ports, silos and inland hubs in 80 countries: Europe (73 hubs), North America (56), South America (42), the Black Sea (32), Asia (30), the Middle East and Africa (25) and Oceania (17). Each hub shows its terminal facilities, silo capacity, berth draft, discharge rate, port storage tariffs and the commodities it handles.

Commodities

21 grades: milling wheat, high-protein wheat, durum wheat, feed wheat, yellow corn (feed maize), food-grade non-GMO yellow corn, food-grade non-GMO white corn, soybeans, soybean meal 48%, feed barley, malting barley, rapeseed, sunflower seed, sunflower meal 37%, Iberian sunflower meal 28%, paddy rice, milling rye, milling oats, DDGS, grain sorghum and millet.

Livestock

GrainsMap Livestock maps 106 livestock markets and live-animal ports in 53 countries, with prices for cattle (young bulls, steers, heifers, cows and calves), pigs and piglets, lambs, poultry and raw milk, from the European Commission, Statistics Canada and USDA AMS livestock reporting.

Metals

GrainsMap Metals maps 131 mines, smelters, precious-metal refiners, ports and trading centres in 48 countries, with World Bank monthly benchmark prices for copper, aluminium, zinc, nickel, lead, tin, iron ore, gold, silver and platinum.

Oil

GrainsMap Oil maps 132 oil fields, terminals, refineries, trading hubs and EU pump-price points in 68 countries, with daily Brent, WTI, gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, heating oil and propane spot prices and weekly EU pump prices with and without taxes.

Prices and sources

Prices come from official publishers whose licences allow republication: the European Commission (DG Agriculture and Rural Development) weekly cereal, oilseed and rice prices, Spain's Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA) national average prices, USDA AMS Market News grain bids, Statistics Canada farm product prices, Argentina's official FOB prices, SAGIS import parities for South Africa and APK-Inform FOB indications for Ukraine. Currency conversion uses the European Central Bank euro reference rates. Where no source publishes a price, the map shows a GrainsMap estimate, built from the published prices through freight and handling costs and labelled as such.

Landed cost, freight and storage

For each hub and grade, GrainsMap builds the landed price step by step: origin price, vessel, rail, barge or truck freight, marine insurance, port elevation, basis and operator margin, with a comparison of origins. It adds silo storage costs for 30, 60 or 90 days, an indicative forward price for the nearest futures month, a freight estimator and a storage estimator. The map is available in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
